* NEW * Friday, July 29, BOF Activity: BOOKS! (REMEMBER THEM?)

When: Friday, July 29, 1:00 -3:00 pm
Who: Class of 72 members and friends
What: “Outside of a dog, books are man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.” – Groucho Marx. Calling all bookies! Join us at the Marathon County Library for a spirited discussion of books, reading, and lit-er-ah-toor. We can toss around our favorites titles and present fond memories of Frank Schumacher, Arlene Ross and Jerome Hartwig. The discussion will be em-ceed by Gil Reavill East ‘72. (“I always dreamed of being an author,” Gil says, “and now I are one.”) Unless pelted with ripe fruit or convinced otherwise, Gil will present a brief dog-and-pony show on his favorite genre, Scandinavian crime writing. Don’t blame him — Kate Frawley Brody suggested this fandango. Alternately we could just sit around and drink white wine (due to library rules, please conceal your strawberry wine coolers in brown paper bags). Everyone welcome - including anyone planning outdoor activitives that day (the Farmer’s Almanac forecasts rain that afternoon, not that a little torrential downpour would stop any of you). Let’s get this party Lit!
